Moving
to Buffalo/Going to school here
For well over three decades, the Young Israel of Greater
Buffalo has been home for many University at Buffalo students and their
families. From Boro Park to Yerushalaim, Teaneck to Toronto, wonderful
singles and families from all over the cultural spectrum have become a
part of our vibrant community.
The Shul Welcoming
Committee can help you find an apartment, housing, etc., as well as
give you all the pertinent information relating to the schools, mikveh
and kosher food.
If you are thinking about relocating to Buffalo, please contact us at info@yibuffalo.org.
Please, tell us who you are, what information or assistance
you
are looking for - including Shabbos hospitality, community info, and
cost of living – and we will be sure to get back to you and help in any
way we can.
We currently have frum singles and families in
many major schools or departments at UB: the Dental School, Medical
School, Law School, etc. and can put you in touch with them and alumni
from the school you may be applying to.
We would be delighted to help you (and your family) find
accommodations for a Shabbos or weekday visit.
We look forward to meeting you!
